Have a gymnastics meet the last weekend of April at the Alario event center in Westwego. Bringing my clubs with me, is TPC worth the $270ish or are there better options in the area? willing to drive 30+ Mins.

Just lie and say you’re a LA resident. Pricing should be well under $200 for resident pricing unless the pricing is like that for right after Zurich.

They still on Golfnow?

I played in may once and paid $80. Worth that, but not $270

Nothing in the New Orleans area is worth that. TPC is nice, but not $300 nice.

You will be right by the course when at the Alario center.
That makes TPC convenient.

City Park Bayou Oaks South Course is nice, but boring. It would probably be about $100.

Nothing else in the area is as nice as TPC, except for Bayou Oaks South.

Grand Ridge is about 20 minutes away in Luling, but it is no where near as nice at TPC. It would probably be $60.

I wish there were other options.

Not sure this is what is shows when I select tee times. Maybe because its the weekend after the Zurich, hard to think its worth $259-314 though.

Do not go to Grand Ridge expecting to get remotely close to the experience youll get at TPC. They aren’t even in the same stratosphere.

if you don’t want to spend the money on TPC, I’d recommend English Turn. I’ve heard it’s returned to excellent shape and can be played somewhat cheaply still.

How is Lakewood these days? It wasn't bad last time I played it -- probably during COVID.

Are you a state of LA resident? Should be much lower.

Man, we played Lakewood in August and it was so miserable I don’t think I ever want to go back. They hadn’t mowed for days before we went. If you missed the fairway a foot, it was a ball search every time. In their defense, it had been really wet, but this was ridiculous. They had basically written off the bunkers too.

I'm a pass holder at TPC. Its not worth anywhere near $200-300/round.

It is however the best public golf option in the Nola metro area when taking into account course + practice facility. They have raised their rates for the passes the last few years and I'm sure they are going to do it again.

Bayou Oaks is overrated as hell. There isn't one memorable hole on the entire course. Its also wide open and very easy. I remember there was talk of moving the Zurich there when it being built. That was quite a stretch.

I am a resident, the price shown is the resident rate. If you click non resident it will not even show available tee times. It must be because of the Zurich open.

See if your pro can call Chateau Estates CC in Kenner, La and get you on. Is maybe 45 mins max from TPC and might cost $80. Fun track usually in good shape.

Zurich Classic is the previous weekend, but those prices are non-resident

English Turn is in fantastic shape. I played there last week. Highly recommend for the price. I made the tee time on GolfNow.. less than $75!

Drive 45 minutes west to LaTour (aka LaGusta).

Seriously, TPC the week after the Zurich would be awesome condition wise but pricey. English Turn would be cheaper and is the former site of the tour stop here.

Agree. LAtour or English turn. If you know a member at Metairie CC try and play there.
