Anybody playing full face grooves and notice a difference? It’s time for new wedges for me and I’m considering full faced

I have both.

Honestly I can't steer you one way or another, can't tell any real difference on lobs.

All that I can say is that I keep coming back to Vokeys.

Pretty much had them on an Edel and had them on HT Wilson and never got comfortable. Actually just ordered a Tour Grind Wilson staff today.

There’s a lot of things in life that confuse the hell out of me and the new full face wedge trend is one of them.

I tried full face grooves at my wedge fitting thinking I really wanted them but the Mizuno T22s just fit my game better and ended up with them.

I'm not good enough to be playing shots off the toe anyway so it really didn't matter for my game.

I'd never consider a full face wedge for anything but a lob wedge. I use my sand wedge for shots up to 110 yards out, and looking down at a full face wedge for a full shot just doesn't work for me.

I've used a full face lob wedge for shots around the green and from bunkers and it makes more sense to me on those type of shots where you're more apt to open the face up and cut across the ball. I still think the Cally PM Grind lob wedge is like cheating from bunkers, but that has as much to do with the grind and bounce as it does the full face grooves.

I like full face. It’s one of those things where I don’t see any drawback to it. I don’t know if it actually helps, but it certainly can’t hurt me. But, I also suck as a 12hc so I’m sure someone in here will explain why full face is killing my wedge game.

maybe...On full swing or even 3/4 swing misshits, you'll still lose so much distance that the grooves wont help. So it will come down to misshits on shorter controlled shots. I would think your misshit rate would be much lower on those shots anyway.

You’d think, but here we are I’m just wondering that in the likelihood of a toe miss, which happens, is there an advantage?

Does the look throw anyone off?

IMO, the only wedge it remotely makes any sense on would be the one you use out of a green side bunker the most. Other than that, I feel like it's a marketing ploy for hackers.
