and that's going to frick them in a Court of law when they arbitrarily decide when to suspend non PGA members for doing the same thing.

know you love to be the heel/contrarian with everything, but you're not going to win this argument pride
The majority sentiment is what you will see on the MSB, complete indifference

Why do posters continue to act like the PGA didn’t run this by the millions of dollars of legal minds they retain.
Wesley had to know this was an option. The PGA isn’t going to allow an active member of their tour to play in a LIV sanctioned event.
Grant is a different case, he has no tour status.

As an aside, do we think Rick Shiels would be allowed to do anything on the PGA Tour?

Do you think the PGA Tour is the only entity with a team of lawyers? You think anti-trust lawsuits are unique to this incident? The NCAA runs their decisions by million of dollars of legal minds and have become a punching bag in federal court.

Piot had no Tour status when he joined LIV. They suspended him for a year regardless. Why wasn't Grant suspended? Why wasn't George?

Companies who spend millions of dollars on legal analysis lose in court every day.

What's also fricked up is they waited until Wesley was already in the Bahamas for the PGA event this weekend to suspend him. That video was released 11 days ago and wasn't a live event, meaning they've known he played in it for at least 2 weeks.
He went down there on his own

According to multiple people, Bryan was placed on probation the day after The Duels: Miami was announced in March.

Not educated enough in the inner-workings of the deals and bylaws to make an opinion on that, but did want to throw my two cents in on the fact that Wesley Bryant is a tough watch on youtube. Despite trying to turn up the "aww shuck's" shtick...you can tell most courses barely have enough room for his ego.

They've banned non- pro golfers from competing in pro ams who have done business with LIV. Let's just call a spade a spade here. The PGA look like idiots in this situation. It wasn't like Wesley even competed in a LIV Tournament. He competed in a content creators event that was on Grant Horvat's youtube channel. It's pretty ridiculous they care. They suspended a guy with partial status and basically told him, you can't play in most of our events, but you can't play in theirs either and not just their official events, but any slapdick 9 hole youtube event they put their name on.
Completely agree with this. Also, PGA tour players are independent contractors and law views 1099 contractors differently than paid employees of a franchise or league. I just don't understand why the PGA even gives a shite but since they seem to, then Grant, George, etc should all be suspended as well. Hell, Fat Perez should too. It's ridiculous and there would and should be legal ramifications for having different levels of punishment for these individuals. Like you said, the NCAA stepped in a big pile of it with their selective punishments/waiver grants and it's blown up in their faces.
What if a high school/college kid is a serious stick...Mickelson invites him to do some YT content and then what...PGA suspends said kid? If not, why not? They did it to Piot? It's retarded and makes the PGA look like little crybabies - well, even BIGGER crybabies than they already are. Wesley playing in an affiliated event on someone else's YT channel didn't hurt the tour in any meaningful way. At all.

You think the NCAA didn’t have legal minds either? Your appeal to authority is a logical fallacy.

This is a non story.

I’m beyond sick of seeing anything written about LIV golf.

Correct, but that doesn’t mean their decisions don’t have consequences.
