Anyone Recommend a Slideboard

Looking to incorporate more cross training into my run plan this year. I absolutely hate riding a bike. One of my running books mentioned a slideboard. It’s intriguing because it’s lateral movements. I’ve been jumping rope a lot as well.

If I were to try it out I would have to begin on the incredibly cheap end of the slide board spectrum. I just have no idea how I'd feel doing any kind of training on one of those. The focus on low or no impact is an important one for me, but walking/rucking pretty much gets me what I think I need so I've not sought any further methods.
Slide boards are definitely different, so the potential upside as far as providing a completely new and possibly fun alternative to walking/running/biking is appealing, but I'd hate to buy one just to find out I didn't find it fun or appealing at all.

I like it because it's low impact and strictly lateral movement.

Yeah, the lateral movement is the big draw. Hard to do that to such a degree with anything else. Checking Amazon I see that the cheap-os start at about $30 and there are lots more priced up to about $75. I see that one you picked and it's definitely a Cadillac of slide boards in terms of build quality, but I just couldn't get myself to pull the trigger at that price point. Although, the good thing about the nicer slide boards is I bet they can actually be resold for something, whereas if I bought a $50 slideboard and hated it or didn't use it, I would probably be stuck with it. It's an interesting option, I'd almost forgotten completely about these things as a cardio option.

OK. One month in on the slideboard. I like it.
I’ve been using it for about 2 hrs per week for the last month. Like any other new exercise, it took a couple of weeks before the muscles I’ve never worked that way stopped being sore.
The board appears to be well made. There’s some rubber padding on the back meant to keep the board in place on the floor. One of them is loose and I’ll re-glue it. It came with the boots, a cleaning towel, and some spray lubricant (ArmorAll). It has an adjustable side to make the side to side distance tighter. Also, BRRRN made all their training videos free on their YouTube channel. I watched several before just settling in on what I liked to do.
I’m using mine strictly for zone two work. It’s perfect for this. A casual side to side pace coupled with the dumbbells of your choice make it easy to stay in that zone. You can really step it up with some Mnt climbers on this thing.
Overall: I like it. Easy to do zone 2 with. Works in a plane that compliments my running and really works the feet and hips (outside and inside). Helps with stability too.
