What are some good places to run? Wide sidewalks, decent scenery, shade, etc.

LSU Lakes for the scenery, and I’m not talking about trees.

I do the lakes, campus, levy, and combo of oak hills and highland road park when I'm in town.
Aren't there some trails in St Francisville?
Plus Port Hudson and Tunica Hills.

Would the tunica trails be good for running? If so that would be a great weekend run

I run in University Acres off Highland. It goes really far back and has some good stretches of incline. Tons of trees, so not a lot of sun exposure.
I used to park at that BREC park on Kennilworth and run to the end where it hits Highland and then turn around and come back. About 4 miles total.
LSU Lakes is way too crowded for me.
Some people like to run on the levee along River Road, but I haven't done it. It is in the direct sunlight.
The Garden District isn't too bad since there's plenty of trees, but they do get a good bit of cut through traffic.
Pretty much any nicer neighborhood off Highland is a good bet. I travel sometimes for work and if I'm not near the beach where I'm staying, I find a posh neighborhood and gawk at the houses while I run. This same concept works in BR.

Parking at City Park gives you nice access to run either the LSU Lakes, the Garden District or head downtown. Mix and match any of those for a longer run.
Comite and Hooper for trails. Those are usually sparsely populated save for the snakes and horseflies.
