Natural sleep aid recommendation for people

Struggling with sleep. I’ve taken melatonin for years with limited success. Sometimes it would work, sometimes I’d be groggy the next day and sometimes it wouldn’t work at all.
I stumbled across “8-1 Sleep Support” from CVS. Ingredients include Valerian Root, Ashwagandha, Glycine and a “calming support blend”
Been sleeping like a rock

Benadryl.
Eta: My bad. I did not read thoroughly, and gave a boneheaded suggestion.
Wife and I have had success with sleepytime extra teas, which combine herbs like valerian and chamomile into a pretty tasty tea. Plus the warmth is pretty relaxing, but as always, ymmv.
I dunno how natural supplementing a mineral like magnesium is considered, but adding magnesium glycinate has helped us as well. Not so much to put us to sleep, but helps with relaxation to get to sleep.

I asked my GP for some non-prescription sleep support (besides the usual sleep hygiene recommendations) recently. Here's what they told me:
magnesium glycinate (400mg) and melatonin (up to 20mg, but starting at 5mg).
Idk if those meet your definition of natural but once my prescription sleep meds end I'll be trying that.

I use a ZMA product along with 60mg of melatonin. It def works. I wasn’t struggling with sleep though.

Magnesium also is a great supplement for this. Most people are deficient. Aside from helping with sleep, it helps relax muscles and keeps cramps at bay and is a mood enhancer. You feel great while taking it!
