Pain in my sternum

Whenever I move my upper body in certain ways, I have a pain in my sternum. I really feel it during dips. Anyone have a suggestion what that is? I don’t feel it during bench. But sometimes if I move a certain way or maybe twist, I feel it.

I have had the same thing. Internet has told me it may be something called Costochondritis
Make sure your body is as straight up and down as possible.
I also used a broom stick like thing and stretched my chest as much as possible

Everything I looked up sayings it’s heart problems, but my recent trip to the doc says the ole ticker is healthy as a horse. I will look that up.

It's this. It's a real bitch. Mine stuck with me for like 2 or 3 years. Its cartilage inflammation and due to no blood flow in cartilage, recovery sucks arse.
The only thing that helps mine go away immediately is to "pop" my sternum. Took me a year to figure out that this helped and I've been doing it for the past few years without any flare ups. I eliminated dips as well. My pain was severe and felt like someone was stabbing me in the chest.

How does one pop his sternum? It doesn’t hurt so bad that movement is inhibited, but it’s uncomfortable and surprises me when it hits.

Man, it took me a while to get good at it. Sit up straight and ill look right and then pull my shoulder blades back. As soon as it pops, the pain subsides immediately. I'll do it once a month now... use to be daily.

I have quit doing dips because of this. Have not had any problems with it since.
