If you like sweet potatoes do yourself a favor and try these especially the purple. Delicious and very nutritious
A Nutritional Powerhouse
The Okinawan sweet potato is said to have 150 percent more antioxidants than blueberries. Antioxidants help to guard against cardiovascular disease and cancer. They contain two times your daily value of vitamin A, half your daily value of vitamin C, as well as vitamin B6, iron, dietary fiber, and potassium. While purple potatoes offer a bonanza of disease fighting nutrients, the standout health hero is the powerful antioxidant content linked to reducing inflammation which helps improve blood pressure, overall heart health and may help stunt the growth of certain cancer cells.
I eat them hot or cold with a meal or a snack. So delicious
Btw if your trying to lose weight. Sweet Potatoes are a great choice because they are low in fat and relatively low in calories compared to some other starchy foods.
Sweet potatoes are also a good source of fiber. Fiber is filling so you are full faster on fewer calories.
It’s a No Brainer

I thought that Trade Joe's just had the purple skinned potatoes (red sweet potatoes mentioned in top of photo.) I used to eat this regularly when I lived near TJ's.

My daughter sent me this pic a few weeks ago from Trader Joe’s in Baton Rouge

Might have to make a trip to Baton Rouge,as much as I hate the traffic there.I would like to try the purple sweet potatoes.
We don’t have a Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s in Ellick.
I read an interesting article about the Okinawans. At one time they had one of the longest life spans on the planet.
Sweet potatoes were a staple of their diet, many ate them 3 meals a day along with fish and vegetables.Main source of meat was pork which they only ate occasionally.
Since the military has established bases there fast food restaurants have followed.
Many of the people have dropped the traditional diet in favor of American fast food and the life expectancy has dropped significantly.
I might have read that in the book THE BLUE ZONES.

I’ll cook a few refrigerate cut them up and eat a bit everyday with my lunch (cold)
Or grab a piece for a snack if I’m hungry.
