If you want to put the rower in a common space, can't beat the aesthetics of a WaterRower

Yeah concept 2 is the tried and true. Excellent quality and function. Easy replacement parts and warranty.

Rogue Fitness also made a rower recently and it’s the only one that competes on function and price. I have never used it. Just seen the reviews

the Concept C2 is widely regarded as the standard all others are compared to in this area

But I bought the ProForm 750 magnetic for ~1/2 the price and like it very much

Find a used C2. I bought an older model in my hood, replaced the display and upgraded the handle. Works just like the one at my gym.

C2 is the best fitness purchase I've ever made. Nearly six years of almost daily use and it still works flawlessly. The only maintenance I do is once in a while oil the chain and wipe down the seat track with some windex.

The cool thing about the Ergatta, besides its water-based resistance, is the video screen. They have all kinds of engaging computer graphic workout programs, you can also do videos of real waterways, and even race against other users. Also keeps track of your workouts and how you're doing with goals etc. Keeps you really motivated.

The answer is Concept 2.

Beware, they are cheapest if bought directly from manufacturer. I think they are still $995 from C2, but on Amazon they are $1300.
