Super sore after races

So I ran the Crescent City 10K yesterday (humble brag), and since then my legs have been so tight and sore.
This isnt a new issue for me. Same stiffness happens after 5K runs too. Age: late-40s.
Do you have any methods proven to work out the soreness quickly and get back to feeling good in the legs?

Yoga and Normantec Leg Compression work for me. Super easy runs too.

Make sure you're cooling down properly after a race. A 10 minute jog that feels like a shuffle can make it way easier on you the next day.

Sarcastic answer is you aren't in your 20s anymore and might not be getting enough training miles or speed work, also probably racing pace above your fitness level.
Helpful answer is cool down after races is really important. Next time try a 5-10 minute slow jog after finishing, then some easy stretching. Even just a 30-45 minute walk after a race will help with soreness the next day.

Always do a cooldown run of sorts. Even if it's a pity shuffle, get your legs moving a little after the race.
Hydrate properly. Drink plenty of water.
Do stretches all throughout.
Best way to get over the soreness is to mitigate it ahead of time.

Cool downs (short light jog after to break up the lactic acid)
Short run the next day (again light)
Foam Roller
Theragun/massager
if you can go somewhere that has those leg compression things normatec have are awesome. Local running shop here has some they let people use and they work great.

I ran the CCC too, and my legs have felt awful post race as well.
They're starting to feel a little better today, but yesterday was rough.

I got a pair of NormaTec boots when they were on sale a few years ago. Really convenient to have at home and life changing.
