I'm going to do this for at least 30 days. Wish me luck.

Slight modifications: I'm going to eat a protein bar for breakfast and maybe some homemade protein shake. Also going to drink my athletic greens daily. The only supplements I'm taking are multivitamin, vit D/Mg/Ca/Zn, and Glucosamine for joints.

if you are going to do the whole Paul Saladino diet, why still do this?

I don't see how it can hurt. I'm really just trying to change things up for a little while to see how I feel.

I don't see the point in this. You're introducing processed foods into an elimination diet. At least go a couple weeks with only the meat and fruit. It won't hurt to go without a protein bar for a month.

Why?

What are your goals?

What brought this on?

Why not add some cruciferous veggies too?

I've been feeling really unmotivated recently and want to try something different. I would like to shed some fat and replace with muscle. I'm 165 lbs and want to stay around that for BJJ competitions.

Give it a shot, I’ve been doing it for about 4 weeks now and feel great. Definitely been putting on muscle with it as well and don’t miss the vegetables at all.

People seem very irritable on this board lately.

I guess the consensus is no protein bars or powders and no AG1.

Protein bar was more so for convenience since mornings at my house are hectic with the kids. I didn't think AG1 would hurt since it is 1 scoop in 12 Oz of water.

I don't think people are 'irritable' as much as confused by the title of your thread vs what you actually plan to implement.

I wasn't trying to be. You mentioned wanting to eat only fruit and meat, but then listed exceptions. I just thought it was funny. I will admit that the "greens" thing confuses me though. But that's a me thing. No need for you to justify anything on my account.

I've been doing this for almost a month outside of Easter weekend due to traveling for family obligations.

All meat and fruit outside of a small amount of onions and peppers with some fajita meat a couple of times and some low Cal sauces.

The only thing I have noticed is I feel like I've been a little more sore some days, but I'm not sure if that's diet or just because of the difficulty of the training sessions the day before.

I think I'm going to continue to eat very similar to this for quite a while, I'll probably be less strict when eating out for work and such, but only having the mess with cooking meat and having fruit at the house is nice and I feel good and have leaned out a little bit.

I had some chik fil a as a cheat meal last week after doing meat/fruit/honey/dairy only for 4 weeks solid.
After I had that fried food I crashed for 2 days and felt like absolute shite.

Previously my doctor recommended I take omegas/ vitamin D/ DHEA so instead I’ve been taking heart and soil organ supplements and have my blood work scheduled to be done in 2 weeks. Will be interested to see how this lifestyle will reflect in my blood work.

AG1 won't hurt anything. But generally people get on this diet to completely get away from anything processed. If you're going to be eating just red meat, then there are a lot of nutrients in it already. I think that's why people are saying you don't need it.

Wake up earlier than the kids, cook you some meat, and eat that. If you are saying you are going on a meat and fruit diet, then do that to see how you feel. Don't add in fluffers with bars and powders. Just meat and fruit.

Dude is loaded, lives in Costa Rica and makes money off of saying "Here's why broccoli is bullshite" then says some mumbo jumbo about phyto-chemicals then goes surfing for the third time that day.
