A/C duct cleaning in Baton Rouge

Does anyone have recommendations for ductwork cleaning? Having been in this house for 7 years (bought it 3 years ago) I know for a fact the ductwork has never been touched since I was in it.
Also, one of the duct damper switches is bent to the point where it might snap off and I was wondering it might be a better investment to replace the ductwork rather than just cleaning it.

Rigid ducts or flexible ducts?
Flexible ducts are not cleaned but replaced if necessary. Though rigid ducts can be cleaned, is if advisable or warranted? Read this. LINK
If your ducts are are sufficiently dirty that they need cleaning you likely have leaks on the return side (negative pressure side) side of the system and your evaporator coil would likely be filthy as well. Dirty ducts are a usually a symptom of a larger problem that should be addressed.
Duct damper can be easily repaired - tech would remove that section of duct with the damaged damper and replace it with a new section containing a new damper.
P.S. you should provide your location you want a recommendation on who can address this.

Thanks Craw.
We're in Baton Rouge (listed in the subject). Flexible ducts. Mostly we're looking to just see if there's any A/C furnace work we can look into as a preventative maintenance sorta thing, but the duct damper would be something I just don't feel like doing.

Brain fart on my part - not the first time. LOL.
But with all reading I’ve done on this subject, routine cleaning of ducts is something that should not be required, unless there leak on the return supply side and that would need to be identified and repaired first. But you do see more HVAC companies advertising and selling duct cleaning services.
I had my HVAC replaced in Feb, and it included a new supply plenum so all the original ducts (rigid) had to be disconnected from the plenum temporarily. I was able to look inside the ducts to inspect them and visually they appeared to be as clean as the day they were installed when the house was built in 1993.
Preventative maintenance - honestly regular replacement of the filter(s) - making sure it fits properly inside the return grill (I’m referring to the 1 inch filters) so you minimize return air bypass. I change mine monthly.
Any HVAC company you might want to work with will be able to fix/repair the duct with the damaged damper.

Agreed….I had my ductwork cleaned a couple of years ago after 20 years of living in the house. As expected, they got quite a bit of dust, etc. out of the ductwork. When all was done, I could tell no difference at all in air quality or anything else. Was not worth the money or the hassle and I would not do it again.
