Any brand suggestions on range hoods?

We have an under the cabinet range hood and I'm going to replace it. Stainless, 30".
I am converting my range to gas soon, but it's not there yet (whole kitchen reno thing) so I need one that can that work both with and without a duct system (convertible).
Also don't want to spend $1,000 on one of these absurd ones. They seem to have very good looking and well-reviewed options around $300-$500, but I don't recognize many of the brands.

Zephyr Cyclone. Louder than some but it moves air and fast. Easy to keep clean.

If you're converting to gas soon and doing a kitchen renovation anyway, I'd highly recommend installing a 36" unit if you have a 30" stove.
At least 3" on each side of the stovetop is recommended, I sure wish my cabinetry allowed it, speaking as someone with a 30" 600 CFM quality ducted vent over a 30" gas stove.
with the same width, you're never going to capture all the heat, moisture, and smoke that a vent wider than the stove will.

Go wider than your stove if possible
