Anyone here added an additional attic access door w/ ladder?

My attic door is on one side of the house with vaulted ceilings between it and the garage. The garage attic area would be good storage space but can’t climb through the attic in the rest of the house to get to it.
Any idea what it would cost to add another attic door in the garage so I can use that space? Who to call?
TIA

Say $200 for a drop stair unit.
$300 to install, is an easy job if your ceiling joists are proper and accessible.

I helped a friend do it once. It was a pain in the arse but really you can do it yourself if you have the time for the price of materials. Make sure to factor in decking to your pricing.
If I had to guess, it'll be around $1000 to install if you hire someone to install the $250 one that you can get from lowes. But that's just my opinion and not rooted in any experience.
ETA: Maybe around $750 now that I do the math but I still have no clue if that's correct.

I replaced my standard stairs with wide stairs. Should not be a complicated job depending on your joists.

outside of the cost, keep in mind this will be a HUGE heat source entering your conditioned space.
try to plan for building a sealed cover in the attic that keeps attic air from getting around the staircase and entering your home. those doors never seal well at all, no matter what you do to seal them, so the only solution is a hinged door with frame around it that seals it from the attic heat

Add one of these next to it

If you do it yourself be careful not to cut any romex that may be stapled to the side of any rafters.

I'm in a similar boat and have been looking into this lately. I was looking to install a 30 inch but they are $600 and up for anything decent.

It's much easier to install attic ladders in a garage if you back you truck into the garage and stand in the bed to do the work instead of standing on a ladder

Installed one in my garage with a friend. Best $200 I’ve spent. Bought a standard aluminum ladder from Lowe’s and had to do some work with the ceiling joists but the space above the garage was completely unused by the previous owners. I decked it out and have tons of storage space up there now.
And yes I agree with others about the cover - if you’re installing it in a living space put an insulated cover in. Something like this works fine:
