A company in MS (pretty sure MS) makes a very effective trap. My dad has one and built another off of its design and has done very well with em. Make sure not to kill ‘em in the trap though. Scent will scare off future dillos

Get rid of the grubs in your lawn with grub x or similar.
They will move on to your neighbors yard.

THIS! Get rid of their food source and they'll leave. Plus you won't have as many june bugs and the like next year.

To me the only issue I have with them is every time I plant something new they dig around it and sometimes uproot it. Other than that I don't mind because if they are digging around in my St. Augustine grass they create natural aeration for the soil. I have a large yard though.
I was thinking of sprinkling red pepper around and newly planted plants or trees, has anyone done this?

You’ll have to funnel them down to a trap. Use some orange fence to make a wide opening where they are walking and then down to the trap. Also some fishing net will work. Lay it on the ground. They will get tangled in the netting. Disposal after that is on you.
I used to set a perimeter alarm and shoot them with a .22. Quick and easy.

Have always put an immediate stop to armadillo holes with this:

Side note: don’t come into contact with their blood. 1 in 5 dillos carry the leprosy virus.

Some armadillos carry the bacteria. 95% of all people have natural immunity to it. For the rest, it is treatable with antibiotics. This is no reason to be afraid of getting rid of armadillos. Just wear gloves when you handle it if it worries you.
