I posted this on O-T and was advised this is a better place for it. Thanks, Crawdude
Any recommendations for a reputable company in BR that cleans air ducts and registers?
Thanks in advance.

I’ll move my comment to your post on the OT board here as well as I’m interested as well as to others experience with this and their suggestions.
“ Flexible ducts or rigid? If flexible, the ducts are just replaced, not cleaned. Rigid ducts can be cleaned, but I don’t have a recommendation. But I’ll be following this post as I’d like to hear responses and recommendations from those that may have had their rigid ducts cleaned.
If I recall correctly one poster, keakar I believe, who was a career HVAC tech has stated if the rigid duct work is old, like 20+ years, in his opinion it might be better to replace it vs cleaning.”

yep, duct cleaning is pretty much a waste of time unless you run the unit without a filter often.
duct cleaning is like rinsing the dirt off of your car with a water hose, you get the surface dirt but it leaves the caked on crud still there so little to no benefit in doing it.
just put in a new filter and add a car air freshener to the return box and you are good to go as far as removing the musty odor to sell the house
and as mentioned its about the same cost to replace flexible ducts as it is to try cleaning them, sometimes cheaper

Thanks----my parents' AC vents have dust globs hanging out of them that look like moss on a tree limb & I'm not in BR anymore and they sure can't clean them, so I figured I'd pay to get the system cleaned.

hell you can do that yourself with a broom
if you want to really do a nice job use a screwdriver and take the vents down, brush them off, even hit them with a spray can of paint and it will look like new again
this is something you can hire a kid to do if you dont have the time, or even a handyman and both those are much cheaper then a duct cleaning service

Ductz out of Lafayette or Clear Restoration in BR do duct cleaning. Many mold remediation companies recommend them.
