best battery powered lawn system

I am wanting to slowly convert my gas powered edger, string trimmer, leaf blower and pole saw to a single interchangeable battery system. Any info on what you feel is the most reliable. While cost is not primarily an issue don't want to break the bank with each purchase.

There have been a couple of threads on this the past couple of weeks so you may be able to search for those.
Overall, a lot of people have the ego line and have nothing but great things to say about it.
Some of us (myself included) have the Kobalt line and love it.
A couple have the Ryobi line also. I can't remember anything negative off the top of my head.
My biggest piece of advice is don't go with a lower volt series. Kobalt has a 40v series and an 80v. I recommend the 80v. Ego is all 56v I think which is fine. I'd absolutely stay away from anything under 40v.
I've had my 80v max Kobalt trimmer and blower for 2 years now and haven't noticed any drop in performance on the batteries. 1 fully charged battery is enough to trim my 1/2 acre yard and blow off the driveway, street, front and back patios.

We have Ryobi, haven't had any trouble. 18v system because we had the power tools already.
Sometimes I have to swap a battery between weed-eating and blowing, but no big deal to me.
Traditional gas push mower.

I'll put in a vote for Ego. Their prices are on the high side, but you won't be disappointed with the performance and my one interaction with customer service was excellent.
I started with the trimmer/blower/2.5ah battery/charger kit several years ago. It was perfect for my half acre lot, I could trim and blow everything on one charge.
Then I moved to a one acre lot and I got the multi-head system with edger and pole saw attachments, but my mistake was not getting another battery, and a bigger one at that. I just kept using the same 2.5ah battery with the edger, and I think I ended up burning up the battery with it. However, I called them up, told them it wouldn't take a charge, and they sent me a new one right away. They didn't even want the old one back (they told me that I could dispose of it at home depot).
So then I got a 5ah battery to go along with my replacement 2.5ah, and it actually lasts much longer than twice as long. Just due to the nature of batteries, they will do more total work at lower rates of discharge. Each cell in the 5ah only works half as hard as the ones in the 2.5ah doing the same job. So where the 2.5ah would be spent after about 500 feet of edging, the 5ah finishes up 1,400 linear feet of edging with no problem. So I just use the 2.5ah for trimming, and the 5ah for edging and blowing, and that's plenty for one acre with a lot of trees and flower beds to trim around.
It's not cheap, I'm probably more than $1k deep into Ego. But of course I do have a trimmer, blower, edger, pole saw, hedge trimmer, two batteries and a charger, so I don't think that's too awful. As with all battery platforms, it's the batteries that get you, so best to buy the kits where it makes sense. I honestly don't know how the other brands stack up to Ego, but I've been so impressed with what I have that I will seriously consider their $5k riding mower once I get tired of repairing my old Gravely every year.
Whatever brand you choose, I think you're wise to go to battery powered lawn gear. As long as your batteries can finish the job on one charge, you won't miss dealing with fuel, oil, filters, priming, cranking, etc.

I got Ryobi after being set on EGO.
Only used my equipment once so far so I have nothing to report.

the multi-head system
This is a big advantage of going with Ego. I wish Kobalt had this option when I was buying. I want an edger but would have to buy a complete standalone unit.

I have all Ryobi 40v. Attachment head with weed eater, blower, trimmer, and edger, and their new 40v self propelled.
Can't speak highly enough about it. All in under a grand and handles my 1/2 acre on 3 6ah batteries trim, edge, and blow without having to charge

I bought a dewalt lawnmower because of all the dewalt tools I have and battery compatibility ... long story short - mower will be returned as it cuts like crap, going to try ryobi or ego. Battery life great on the dewalt but not enough lift in the mower to cut well

Get it and report back here

I have Ego blower, weed eater, edger, it’s fantastic. Highly recommend.
HOWEVER, I tried the ego mower and returned it after a few mows. The cut quality just wasn’t there.

This helps point me in the right direction. This place is so much more valued than reading generic vetted customer reviews. Thanks for the responses

really impressed with my Kobalt battery powered trimmer. I bought 40v and it seems to have the same power as my old Ryobi gas trimmer, I can't imagine the 80v for my needs

That ZTR mower looks legit. Three acres on a single charge rocking all six batteries? Not bad. The extra two 10AH batteries are probably going to push it to 6k though. Still pretty damn cheap for a ZTR.

From what I have learned, EGO and Ryobi stuff are top notch, but EGO has the better battery in terms of faster charging and longer lasting...

When you choose a route to go, do what I did. When I went cordless ...Invest in two additional charging stations and three spare batteries. One charged battery in the device and two charged and ready to go to work.
Otherwise ...you go to zero with one then sit ....
