In the process of building an outdoor kitchen and decided to go with a drop in griddle instead of a grill. Of course BBQ guys recommends the Blaze griddle to me and discounts it, but does anyone have a Coyote or Le Griddle? I really like the cast iron underplate on the Le Griddle but the cover is sold separately for another $600. My only gripe with the blaze is the big, flat drip pan that has to be cleaned vs. the smaller, deeper pans on the other two. TIA

I have the 30" Coyote and love it. I have had zero issues with it. The cooking area is pretty consistent and its easy to clean and season

I love my 40” le griddle. I didn’t go with the stainless steel cover since it is under my back patio, and the fabric cover has been perfectly fine.

Did you have it set into the countertop? They sell an insert for it but I can’t find if it’s necessary if you plan on dropping it into the countertop.

I used the insert since it was really simple using it. The le griddle has “legs” that you twist to get it level while it’s on the insert.

frick sometimes it’s just so simple. Love my Blaze 30”. It’s the only thing I have in my outdoor area. I want to put an aluminum riser around the whole thing to keep grease from getting on counters. Traeger stays in the shed and I pull it out when I need to smoke anything

How do yall season the Blaze? And how do you clean it? I have one that I rarely use because food sticks to it like crazy and it's a pain to clean.

Get a long handle scraping tool, some of those steel cleaning pads and some pumice stone. Scrub it while it’s still warm with some water. Pretty sure there are some video. After cleaning I heat it and put some oil and wipe it down. No chemicals!

When you go to use, get it hot to where a drop of water bounces is the best way I can describe it. Put some oil and wipe it down with paper towel. Bring down to desired temp and you can put your oil or butter for cooking. Nothing should stick.

I think I’m going with the Le Griddle. Is yours dropped into the countertop?

Very nice setup man. You did a lot with that space. I have a full sink like you and just have a faucet. I am planning on changing to a hand held exactly like that. Any issues with it before I buy one and replace mine.

In a fantasy life I’d like to get a built in griddle down the road. What are the issues with the built in SS blackstone. I have the normal roll around version now and have been pleased with it.

I am not familiar with the blackstone so I am not sure. My friend has a 36" on a cart and has zero issues with it. Mine is a little smaller, 30" Coyote

Looks like all the heat comes out of the back of that thing? Get pretty hot on the wall?

I love it. The Le Griddle has a plate below the cooking surface that helps even heating and retention. Mine is built in.
