The time has come. My 16 year old Kitchenaid dishwasher finally bit the dust. Stopped running and then the entire house started to smell like plastic.
Not opposed to Bosh but i hear that they dont dry well. Any suggestions for a mid-tier dishwasher that wont break the bank.
TIA

Nothing modern cleans or dries well. The energy consumption standards don’t allow for as hot of water as the older models and none dry appropriately… good luck.

I just got and installed a Kitchenaid (Model KDTM604KPS) over the weekend. Really like it so far, but only run 2 or 3 loads so far. It has a 3rd rack and you can fit coffee cups and other glassware on that rack which has its own dedicated wash arm designed to shoot directly into the cups. And they load at an angle, so they dry well even with the coffee cups having the concaved bottom that ordinarily collect water.
Very premium build, stainless steel interior, and the racks roll very smooth.
I chose this model over the models below it because this one had a "Prodry" feature that includes a fan that circulates the heated air so it dries more thoroughly. So far I've been impressed with how well it dries.
It's pricey, but the Honey browser extension found me a 20% off promo code + it was on sale when I ordered it.

What's your budget?
I got the Bosch 800 Series from Costco when it was $500 off and love it. It's the quietest dishwasher i've ever heard, it has a red light that shoots onto the floor to let us know it's running, I can start/stop it from an app if I want and it does a great job cleaning. The only con that i've seen in the 6 months is that it doesn't dry 100%, but like a previous poster said, that's because regulations to save the environment. Definitely worth the upgrade if you can swing the cost.

HIGHLY recommend everyone downloads this. I use this on any website when making purchases and it helps find free discount codes that I never intended on using.
In regards to dishwashers, seems like a lot of people on here like Bosch. anything over $500 will work well. No to Samsung.

I agree Bosch is the best, but we just bought the cheapest one that best buy had cleans fine, bit loud but for like 400 it was worth it. Like mentioned doesnt dry well but oh well

Everyone is going to say Bosch but their cheaper options like you said don't dry well, we bought a higher end Whirpool recently and love it.

Bosch has been the best that we have had over my last 3 houses. Noise level is super low which is awesome if you have an open floor plan.

In BTR I use Stanton’s Ace Appliance, Kathy handles my accounts. She can recommend and get you in the price range. They deliver, install and haul off the old. They service everything they sell. A hint here, they don’t sell or service LG and Samsung.
It’s best to call Kathy and make an appointment.

I've been really happy with our Bertazonni dishwasher. Everything else they make is fricking garbage.
