Best hooks to adhere to aluminum patio cover

We just got our outdoor patio covered and the top is aluminum. My wife wants to put hooks up there to string lights but the magnetic ones won’t adhere. Any suggestions from you folks on what would be best to use? TIA

We used the outdoor command hooks. They just stick on, and I haven’t had any problems with them coming off. Make sure it’s outdoor ones though. I made that mistake the first time and they fell off within a couple days.

I used the self tapping screws with some wire. Works just fine.

We used these and have worked perfectly without drilling any holes. We have a solid non-insulated roof. We bought a pack of the 3” hangers and a pack of the 3x8” to hang a few plants.

The command hooks work great. Used them at my previous house to string christmas lights around our patio cover and they were up for 2 years when I sold it. I just took some rubbing alcohol and cleaned each spot where I was going to stick a hook.
