Check out garrisons nursery off in west Shreveport. They have a massive selection and have helped me a ton with planting stuff when and where and what with, very knowledgeable

Garrison's is the best. Call before you go. Extremely helpful and not near as expensive as Lex's and Aikens.

Louisiana Nursery in south Shreveport (Kiethville) on Mansfield Rd. Kim has been there a looong time. Has classes in the spring with LSU Ag .
