Best type of Bermuda seed for BR area.

Howdy all,
I have decided to try and overseed my Centipede yard with Bermuda this summer/fall. My yard gets full sun and is very sandy, seems like a no brainer.
Everytime I find a strain of Bermuda that I like, its sod or plugs only. I want to seed due to cost and lazyness. I dont care that it will take much longer to fill in, the Centipede will do fine until then.
What is the best strain/type of Bermuda for the BR area. Kids and dog play in the backyard daily.

I do plan to hit it with high nitrogen fert once seed is spread to help it germinate and stunt the Centipede as well.

La Prima or Royal TXD

How thick is the Centipede?
Try your best to get good seed to soil contact with the Bermuda.
Use Hancock seed and start sooner rather than later if you want better success.
Mow really low and 2-3 times/week after the seed is established to promote growth.

After the drought last summer, very thin.
I was planning on finding a drag mat to pull behind the mower. Or a 2x4 worst case scenario.
I’ll get some ordered by the end of this week.

Honestly the mower itself might be the best option if the wheels are big.

This worked well for me. I seeded a lot of area, but I was down to bare [loose] dirt. Once I sowed the seed, I simply ran over it back and forth with the mower, overlapping the wheel tracks in each pass.

Chances are, it's just a coated common bermuda.
I wouldn't buy from a site that provides so few details, which is why I prefer Hancock. Also Ronk recommended Hancock

I would say no to whatever bermuda that might be.

I'm assuming the blades were turned off when you did this? Did you do this the same day as spreading the seeds and watering or wait until the next day.

You roll over it immediately after if you want. Then cover it with a light layer of peat moss for best results. 1/4” thick

I'm in the middle of a lawn reno experiment with LaPrima. It does grow vertically crazy fast. I'm currently trying to push it to get rid of the St Aug I've got. My recommendation is to nuke the yard completely then rake out all the dead stuff before dropping seed. I didnt and wish I had. So I'm likely going to be spraying quinclorac later this summer to kill of the St. Aug, then do another round of LaPrima seeding

Where’s the best place to purchase peat moss at? Is that something that the soil places will sell in bulk?

Check the garden centers and hardware stores. Not sold by the truck load to my knowledge. Not down here at least…

Got some at Cleggs that they recommended and it is kicking arse. Much better than any brand name seed I've used from a box store.
