With an anticipated frost early next week around central Alabama, at least, what are some good countermeasures for frost protection of the budding/flowering blueberry bushes that we have around here?
Spray with water the night before? cover them with some type of netting?

Throw some plastic drip cloth over them. If you can afford frost cloth them do that but plastic will work, assuming the temps will only be be 28 or so.

Protect plants from frost and all but the hardest freeze by covering them with sheets, towels, blankets, cardboard or a tarp. You can also invert baskets, coolers or any container with a solid bottom over plants. Cover plants before dark to trap warmer air.

Large cardboard boxes or other containers work really well if they just fit over the plant all the way to ground level.

I've set several fans next to my plants to circulate air during a late freeze. Worked way better than it should've.
