Terrible reception with Verizon inside our home. Regular one story home, regular shingle roof.
Do these signal boosters on Amazon actually work?
Any Recs or advise beside standing outside on the back porch at the right angle when the wind is blowing SSE?
Hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend!

Do you have WiFi in your home? If so just enable WiFi calling on your phone and calls will then use WiFi signal instead of cellular

I have Verizon as well. Once the iPhone became 5G focused, my phone quit getting service in the house due to the fact that where I live isn't 5G yet and apparently the antenna for the phones 4G is awful since its a 5G phone. Verizon sent me an in-home booster free of charge that plugs into my router. I'd suggest calling Verizon before paying out of pocket.

Bought one for the camp from Best Buy 6 years ago, forgot the brand name but it was 3-400$, works great, I went from spotty 3g to 4 bars lte, no more dropped calls and I can stream movies on my phone, no high speed internet available at that location, would recommend, installation was moderate , had to put up an external antenna on the roof and then run coaxial to the device inside, but has worked great

WeBoost whole home, around $500, but works great. I bought 3 different $150 models for the camp before I found this one.

We have Verizon as well. They are well aware their service where I live is terrible.
I called them and talked with them a few years ago and the agreed to send me a booster.
Only issue is that it operates off of my Wi-Fi.
Plugs in to on of my google home pucks. So, when Wi-Fi is out so is good cell signal, but I’ve only lost Wi-Fi a few times (we have AT&T fiber) since we got the booster.

If you complain to Verizon enough they may send you one for free otherwise you can buy their cell phone booster - LINK
I have one and it works fairly well. Used to have 1-2 bars and would have to go outside to take a phone call. I have now have 5 bars in the house and the call quality is much much better than it was previously. It does use your home wifi network, so I have on occasion had issues when my router/internet was on the fritz and I would receive text messages in a delayed fashion until I reset the router.
You need to have a location where you can plug it both into the router as well as have window access for the GPS antenna.
Other thing about it, is that it's technically an open signal. So if there are other verizon users in the immediate vicinity they may connect as well. There's usually 16 "spots" available on the device. First come first serve.
