I have centipede in south LA and was about to pull the trigger on some Celsius, but domyown.com doesn’t carry Celsius anymore and recommends Blindside. Is there a reason for this switch? Anyone have experience with these herbicides that could give me some advice?

Blindside is msm and sulfentrazone. I don’t have experience using it but I’d expect similar results if you’ve used msm and sedgehammer.

I’m sure blindside has a temperature threshold. Doesn’t appear to be a good stand-in for Celsius.

As soon as we get a stretch of dry weather I'm putting down 17 pallets of Centipede. I'm curious to see answers to this thread

Curious as to where you reside. If in the Baton Rouge area Site One carries Celsius in stock, as does Cleggs Retail Garden Center - though at a higher price point. There is also a Site One in Mandeville.

I’m in BR. I can order the Celsius on Amazon it just surprised my that domyown.com stopped carrying it and I was wondering if blindside was superior. I’ve read about some yellowing with blindside so I’m leaning toward going with Celsius because the centipede is not in the best shape.

Well the metsulfuron methyl in the Blindside might cause some temporary yellowing of centipede in extreme heat. I can remember a while back when domyown was not carrying Blindside herbicide so not sure what’s up with that.

I’ve not seen a price lower than SiteOne for Celsius, including Amazon, etc. - $104 per 10 oz bottle. Price of Blindside and Celsius are comparable.
