Centipede fertilizing schedule

Anyone know of an annual schedule for fertilizing Centipede?
What?
When?
We had sod laid in June. I have applied 13-13-13 recommended by sod layer. I am seeing virginia buttonweed surfacing in areas.

I posted a sample schedule a while back. If you do a lot to centipede then you are doing too much.
If you have VBW you need to get celsius or msm now.

Centipede does not need much fertilizer. No more than 1 pound of nitrogen (N) per 1000 sq ft per year, split into two 1/2 pound N applications. Fertilizer should have very low or no phosphorus (P).
First 1/2 lb application around mid-April, after you’ve cut the the grass twice, second application, optional, mid-June/mid-July.
I’d use a delayed release formulated lawn fertilizer that releases the nitrogen over a couple + months. Examples, Fertilome 15-0-15 (N-P-K) centipede fertilizer, Lesco 24-2-11 (this is what I use).
How much to apply per application for 1/2 lb of N per 1000 sq ft, 15-0-15, divide the %N into 50, so 15 into 50, equals 3 1/3 lb of 15-0-15 per 1000 sq ft. For 24-2-11, divide 24 into 50, so 2 pounds of 24-2-11 per 1000 sq ft. Use the same calculation for what ever lawn fertilizer you purchase.
VBW, I’d begin spraying now with Celsius, MSM Turf, or Fertilome Weed Free Zone (if temps are in 70s or low 80s for WFZ). Add surfactant.
You can use a “winterizer” fertlizer containing only potassium (potash), K, application now if you want, 1 to 2 pounds 0-0-60 per 1000 sq ft.
Considering getting a LSU AgCenter soil test analysis on the lawn to see where you stand with regards to soil fertility.

You want a fertilizer with 0 as the middle number (phosphates). Centipede does not like phosphorus. Fertilize twice a year, once in April and once in July.
