Cleaning clogged French drain pipe

Is there a pressure washer attachment I can use to clear corrugated drain pipe that won’t mess up the pipe? Our French drains our clogged up and I’d rather not pay someone to do it if I can.

Google something like “balloon drain unclogger” and it should show you various sizes of bladders that you screw onto the end of a water hose. When inserted in the pipe as far as it will go, you turn the water hose on. At that point the bladder swells sealing the pipe and then a jet comes out of the end clearing a clog. These are made to drop down into your drain vents from your roof to clear drain clogs. They are very effective. You should be able to get them at Lowes or HD.

Thanks. I saw those but wasn’t sure.
There’s 4-5 drains within about 100’ that are all clogged.

You have to get the proper size for your pipe. Also, resist the temptation to turn it on outside of the pipe….you’ll get soaked!

Dug up the corrugated lines and installed PVC a few years ago. Good choice. Hard work but worth the effort.

Look for a sewer jetter on Amazon. That's what I have. Attaches to a pressure washer

These work really well - I have a “Clog Hog” LINK but I’m sure knock offs from Amazon are cheaper. I’ve only used mine on my PVC lawn drainage pipe and not the thinner corrugated drainage pipe - just do some internet search to make sure it won’t tear corrugated pipe if you decide to go that route, but they do work well for cleaning obstructions in lawn drainage pipes.

I got one of the knockoff clog hogs on Amazon that connects to my pressure washer. It works ok for small clogs but if you have a pretty good clog in there, you'll probably have to rent one of those drain cleaner snakes.

Royal, do you have any downspouts connected to your drain system?
