Is there still a lifetime warranty on Craftsman tools? Looking for a place in-near BR to exchange a ratchet.

I don’t think the new owners of the brand name “Craftsman” are bound by the old Sears lifetime warranty. But let us know if it works.

I had a 15 year old ratchet break on me a couple of months ago. I called and Ace and Lowe's and they still honored the warranty on the ratchet. I took it to Lowe's since it is closer to my house and went to the return desk. Showed them the broken ratchet and went and picked out its equivalent and brought it back to the return desk. They put a label on there so it didn't look like I was stealing it and I walked out. Fairly easy process.

I was looking at screwdrivers at Lowes a couple of days ago. The package said lifetime warranty.

Good to hear they are still honoring old warranties.

They would be stupid not to as they would be losing a lot of market share to Pittsburgh stuff from Harbor Freight which I have a set, but it seems to be better made than some of the new craftsman stuff.

Stanley Black and Decker early on said they would honor the original Craftsman warranty.

My father just exchanged one his old Raised Panel, 36tooth ratchets at his local ACE for one of the new ones that are made now by SBD. They did not have any repair kits on hand so they gave him a new one.
