Cypress Beams For Vaulted Ceiling

I’m looking for inspiration and/or guidance on vaulted ceiling beams and their dimensions. We’re planning a vaulted living room ceiling that measures 19’ x 21’ with a 19’ peak height. The design includes four beams and a ridge beam, and I’m currently considering 8”x10” beams with a 12”x14” ridge beam. If you have any pictures, beam dimensions, or insights, I’d love to see them! Thanks in advance!

are these structural members?

Vault the ceiling first and have it finished with drywall. You’ll want to build out box beams from 1X material and 45° the inside corners. You’ll want to fabricate, stain/finish these on saw horses as opposed to on the ceiling. These will be attached to blocking you’ve installed on the ceiling.
This should be significantly cheaper than solid beams.

Structural or faux beams? If structural size (minimum) will be determined by span and species and the biggest beam would be limited by logistics....too large and the weight of the beam itself is a problem. If they are for looks only whatever size looks good.....

This. It will be far cheaper. It can be done with plywood as well and even rigid foam insulation with or without a veneer will work. Over cut the miter (46 or so degrees) and glue and fold using tape for clamps....the joint will dissappear. It won't with a 45 degree miter because of the nature of wood to move and be inconsistent. Depending on how far off the floor they are it may be possible to simply use a butt joint...
