Cypress mulch vs pine mulch

Been researching, leaning towards using cypress....
any comments from the experts?

cypress mulch is a terribly destructive product. It’s chipped cypress trees. Pine straw is sustainable and makes use of a product that would otherwise be discarded. It lasts a long time and is good for the Ph of the soils below it
if you need a lot of mulch, contact a tree trimmer and tell them they can dump their chips at your house they’ll be thrilled to do so and it’s free

Potential for termites with cypress - most wood products? Though any type of mulch is better than no mulch, in all the reading I’ve done most of the extension horticulturists I’ve spoken with or listened to favor pine straw. Half my neighbors and myself use pine straw, the other 1/2 wood chips of various types - they all work.
