Dry pour concrete

Anyone try this? I am pouring a 3x5 slab for garbage cans and thinking I might try it. I have watched a ton of vids so looks like it will be relatively easy.

I get the intrigue, but I would rather buy some beer and have a friend come help me mix concrete and listen to some jams...
I think it's an inevitability it eventually cracks and chips away. Post pics when you do it, I'd love to see the finished product.

I would love to see a "dry concrete cylinder go through a compression test.

As long as it is for something that you expect no load on, it's fine I guess. But for something that small, I would just mix it in a wheelbarrow. You're talking 9 80 pound bags if you go 4" thick
How thick are you making it? And why not just use pavers?

I tried dry pour once for grout in between some pavers and would not do it again. The dry powder is many times the volume of mixed cement, so I ended up having to add dry concrete several times until I got the cracks full. It would have been much faster to mix conventionally.
I have watched some dry pour videos and I am afraid that wouldn’t work. I think the concrete would crust over on the top and dry concrete would remain below the surface of thee slab. I would just mix the concrete in a 5-gallon bucket or a wheelbarrow.
