EGO warranty is elite, but slow

I'm not sure if this is strictly a Lowe's problem.
8 weeks ago I dropped off my EGO mower w/ 7.5 Ah battery and rapid charger to my local Lowe's. EGO suggested since that's where I bought it and they would handle the warranty work on it. Problem was that my mower locked up completely and would not even show that power was going from the battery to the mower. Just completely dead. Originally I had issues with power going to the motor and it would display that it "overheated" and needed a break, which was likely because I was running some pretty awful blades on it for several months before all this. New blades had solved the problem temporarily.
I didn't hear anything back from Lowe's so I went ahead and showed up to see if they can give me an update, 6 weeks later. They said it was "checked out" of their computer's repair program, meaning that it "must be on the way back", which was a disconcerting statement. Anyway, I contact EGO after that, and they tell me instead of my mower getting repaired, it was getting replaced. Fast forward to today, I've acquired my old charge/battery from Lowe's and got delivered a brand new mower, same model (no battery or charger), additional blades, and I'm happy. Will run it later to make sure it's all good. Mower warranty will continue from the original mower's warranty date.
Moral of the story: submit all warranties for your products as soon as you buy them, and have patience. I was lucky to be able to borrow a mower for the last 2 months and not having to mow as much since the dry weather has stunted some growing.
Also, I know a lot of gas baws in here are probably going to give me hell. Oh well.

I wouldn't sweat that, everyone knows real mowers are diesel.

Sounds like a piece of shite. My Snapper 21” is 15-20 years old, Jap engine, still bangin.

Oh my!
It shouldn't take such an experience to understand that moral of the story. Submitting warranty work ought to be a no brainer.

Just bc they honored their warranty, that doesn’t make it “elite”. Sounds like they did the bare minimum to me and took their sweet arse time doing it. I also went through a slow ego warranty claim with lowes & ego shipping me a new weed eater but I wasn’t stoked with the process at all. They ate up 2 months of warranty time is how I see it

My 10 year old Husqvarna with Honda engine still starts on first pull. Congratulations on your elite warranty.

Same, the deck will rot out well before the engine goes.

Not alot of people trained on them or most battery products.
Probably goes to a regional center where they just verify the issue and process paperwork to request a new unit for the customer.

From my understanding, Lowe's outsources all their EGO repairs somewhere else, probably to EGO direct.
When I took it to Northern Tool awhile back, work was done in house.
