Anyone know about what they cost? I'm talking about the ones like they have in NO that hang and can be slid up and down. The real ones. Who would you recommend in BR to get these from?

Way more expensive than you think...

I bought 3 of them for about $500 from the The Shutter Store online. I had to measure them, and you need to really know what you're doing when you measure, and you send them everything and they ship them out to you to install. It's not rocket science to install them. If you screw up the measurement though, you're kind of screwed. I didnt' have to deal with returns or anything like that.
It was 2 normal sized windows, where the shutters only covered half the window, and then one larger window where the shutters covered the bottom half, but opened up in the middle so it was like 2 shutters in one.
So that was 4 windows for $500, and they were unfinished but primed ready to be painted, and we never painted them and they look great.

Had them put in a few months ago. Depending the type of material, size or window, and construction of it you are looking at about $500/window give or take.

We have the 3 inch shutters and they were about 500 to 600 per window.

LINK if you can read basic instructions own 3 tools cheep benchtop versions of the tools will work. you can build your shutters. It’s not a huge project it’s simple. You can sub poplar for basswood both are cheep and easy to work with. 1 set of shutters you can pay for the tools.

For real wood shutters on a standard 30x60 window 350-400 a window.

Just curious but I’ve never seen a fake plantation shutter. What exactly is that?
