Has anyone had any experience with converting your bathtub to a walk in shower with this company or a similar company? My wife and I got a quote and we wanted to do thorough research before moving forward and hear personal experiences. Thanks in advance

Are you asking about a specific company or success in doing this in general?
We did it and I subbed everything out and we love it.

Overpriced, plasticky product. If there is an issue behind the new cover (which is the reason some choose to get this) you won’t know till far down the road when the damage may be catastrophic. Better to hire a qualified tile setter that specializes in showers. Sure, it’ll probably take 4-5 days, but once it’s done it’s solid and gorgeous.
Disclosure : not familiar with the newer companies that sprang up, only Rebath, but I can only assume it’s basically the same. More than twice as expensive as a tile shower, and on one of the houses the product was buckling away from the wall as it was installed too tight in the corners.
And then there is the cheesy fiberglass pan.

Speaking of a Lowes product, ADA conversion for sit in shower style bath?

The best thing to do is to find a contractor to do this OP. There are companies that ‘specialize’ in bathrooms and they are almost always going to be more expensive then the traditional contractor route because they are just a contractor themselves (maybe not even licensed) and they just sub it all out plus they have a brick and mortar building often times to add to their over head. I’m speaking of the Kitchen and Bath type of companies.

We just had Max Home come in to do a conversion. We had a giant jacuzzi tub taken out and replaced with a 45*60 shower. The new shower is about half the size the tub was.
When they quoted us I was worried we might be overpaying. It took the guy 2 days to complete the job due to our plumbing running through the slab.
I am not a fan of how pushy their sales guy was, but the installer was extremely professional and discussed all issues with me as they came up.

This right here. Find a good, honest contractor (if you can), and save at least 50% over these plastic/fiberglass replacements. I have experience with these one/two day bathroom remodel outfits, and they really are twice as high as going the traditional route.

Spin off company from Direct Source. I won't say more because the last time I did my post got whacked. Find a good contractor and get a real bathroom conversion. You will save at least 50%, and a bunch of headaches.
