Freezer thermometer / alarm for house freezers

I am wanting to get some kind of alarm system for my freezers so I'll know when someone leaves the door open on them.
Any recommendations?

I've got this one from Thermoworks Thermoworks Fridge/freezer alarm Had it for about 5 years and it works great. Had a cheap one from amazon before that only lasted about 6 months.

yes the alarm has a magnet that sticks on the side of the fridge/freezer. Just run the wire inside the door. it's pretty flat and does not effect the gasket

I've had the same one for a year on my garage freezer. No complaints.

Same one I got based on a recommendation from here. Looked forever on Amazon and was never happy with what I saw.
I just ran the probe wire over the side of the door and have only noticed slight frost buildup in that area. Probably should tape it down with some high quality tape so it stays flat but I haven't done that yet. I will say The one knock is how long the little 3v button battery is going to last( they claim a little over a year). If I had to buy it again I might spend the extra few dollars and buy the RT8100 which uses 2xaaa battery. Has an unnecessary extra sensor but the extra capacity of 2 aaa batts over a button batt is significant.

I use a tempstick for my freezer and have not had a problem in the 4 years I've had it. Will alert me if goes out of range. Just change the battery once per year and its good to go.

YoLink has worked well for me. It doesn’t require an external wire, you just leave a remote sensor in the freezer. For my setup the LoRa WiFi penetrates two external brick walls and has never had a connectivity problem. Super easy and reliable.

I have YoLink also and agree. Have had it for 6 months and have no complaints at all.

Another vote for the YoLink. I can check temp and humidity in both my outside freezers from my phone. Lets you set what temp you want the alarm to sound at.
