Garbage Disposal recommendations

Water started pouring out the bottom of my disposal so I know it is either rusted or rotted out. I bought my house remodeled 6 years ago so I know this one was a cheap one. Any recommendations or am I over thinking?

I’ve got an Insinkerator Evolution Compact. Quiet and powerful.

Depends on what you want to pay.
I use the Badger models and they are good. Lowes has them.

I find that when replacing garbage disposals your best bet is to buy the best quality you can afford of the same brand you are replacing. That way you won’t have to replace the sink or plumbing connections.
Be sure you get something with a galvanized tub to prevent it from rusting out again.
I replaced my builder-grade model with an Insinkerator Badger and have been pleased.

I 2nd the insinkerator but don’t recall which model I have. I recall spending the extra money to get one of the quieter models, but did not go with the quietest. It works for me because my sink is on the opposite side of the house from bedrooms, but if your bedrooms are close to your kitchen; I’d consider the quietest model you can find

Have an InSinkErator Evolution SpaceSaver XP Non-corded 3/4-HP.
Just swapped the cord from the old unit.
It's quiet and works fine.

In Sink Erator brand with the rubber mounting ring.
We have a SS sink and the old rigid mount badger it replaced made a ton of noise when in use.
The quiet isolation mount alone is worth the price of entry.
Buy once, cry once.

Stainless steel grind chambers and motor shaft rather. Galvanized coatings work ok as long as you don't run acidic or anything containing bleach through through the disposer.

I recently bought an Insinkerator XTR. It's super quiet and chops through everything I've put into it so far. It's not the cheapest, but came with the power cord and the air button.

Same exact thing happened to mine and this is what I replaced it with. Works great.
