Help Me choose a generator

After this storm season, i've decided its time to add an invertor-generator to my shed. I borrowed my dad's Honda eu2000i for Delta and used it to run a window unit for 8 hours. Obviously the Hondas are great, but due to the frequency of use I'm looking to spend a lot less than honda money. Im not sure what size i need, but it needs to at the very least be able to power 1 window unit and 1 chest freezer.
So here are some of the candidates, but im open to more suggestions:
Wen
Predator
Champion
Im open to going a little bigger, but if 2,000 can power a small window unit, a freezer, and maybe a tv then there is no need

You may as well take the time and invest it in a big generator because eventually you will want to power more than that

Ok, what do you consider "big" and do you have a recommendation?
The biggest benefit of the smaller ones to me is potential to use at tailgates and we have a pop-up camper that we use like on occasion, a 2,000 could power the window-unit ac and 3 outlets ez pz

Having a small, portable inverter is not necessarily a “waste” though. They are great for camping, tailgating, etc.
Predator Generators get great reviews. I’ve been looking at getting one at some point to supplement my larger generator. I’d like a smaller inverter and larger portable.

I had a Northern Tool (Powerhorse 3500) version of the Predator inverter. No issues with it. Upgraded to a bigger generator that had a 220 plug.

The Predator warranty is only 90 days. I would pick the Champion with the 3 year warranty and parts availability

I’d go with a predator 3500 inverter. They have a 220v plug on them. Only about $770 too.

May want to check on that again. They have a 30amp 120v plug, but no 220v. That was a big reason why I didn't buy it.

Dang, thanks for clearing that up.

That’s an odd comment
I’m asking a collective group of handy folks if they have any good/bad experience with brands in my preferred price range. Isn’t that what this board is for?
Sorry about your daddy issues though

The predator 3500 inverter costs about half as much as the champions. I’ve heard good reviews on them. Youtube has lots of videos about maint and mods. Keep in mind all the 3500 watt inverters weigh about 100 lbs.

Yes and it needs an adapter to plug into your camper's TT30 plug.

Champion 4500 watt inverter
I just bought this one. I researched for months. You cannot find a better one, cheaper one, for this price.

We used this during Laura and Delta
Backwired to dryer outlet
We used all the 110's in the house - 3 window units, 2 freezers, 2 fridges, etc.
Also uses propane if preferred
Firman 7500
$849 at Lowes

I've used the WEN and Predator inverter generators almost daily for a year and half. Both are the 3500 to 3800 Watt ones. I don't recall the model numbers.
Both have run a lot of hours (each has averaged about 30 hrs a week for 1 1/2 years)
Both engines are still running fine with regular oil change/spark plug/cleaning filters.
However, a lot of non-absolutely-essential parts on the WEN have broken. (Automatic starter broke quickly, pull cord snapped and had to be replaced, Off/Run/Choke knob broke and was a nightmare to put back on, wheels didn't stand up to vibration, all the automated readouts stopped working, piston alignment issue causes crank cord to snap back, had to replace oil drain hose).
So, my personal experience is that the WEN engine itself seems ok but everything else is very shoddy.
The Predator still works like the day I bought it. WEN is still running but with a lot of headaches and now looks like it's been through a war and rebuilt by McGyver.

that one is loud compared to other invertors.64db compared to 57 or less on other inverters.

Its also $500. Same price as the Predator 2,000 watt inverter. Has a much larger fuel tank too. Cant win them all. During a hurricane, I would rather worry about powering more A/Cs than 7 decibles. Its still an inverter and extremely fuel efficient.
