Too late, they should have used metal edging that the tile butts up against.

Did you pay someone to do that for you??? As already mentioned, they should have used some edging when laying the tile.

Ok, we can all agree that it’s not installed correctly. But we’re here now so let’s figure out the best way out. You can buy corner molding from Lowe’s or jd and paint it white and apply it. If you go this route buy the smallest one that covers everting. Probably the pvc one made for exterior would look best.

Or you could try to find a small brushed metal one if that matches your appliances.

Or you could try to touch up paint the edges to try to camouflage it.

If it were me, I'd call the tile guy (or another) and get them to come pop those corner tiles off and replace them with mitered/45 degree cut tiles. That would look better than anything else you could do and is what should've been done originally. Looks significantly better than Schluter trim.

Like another poster mentioned, you could also try to find some corner molding to cap it. A lot of corner trim for tile has to go underneath the tiles though.

They make a tile paint that would work for that, especially since it's not an area that will be scrutinized to hard. Paint it so it doesn't catch the eye and you should be good

You can get alum or stainless steel angle iron in different size you like/looks good and then liquid nail or epoxy to glue in place.

To answer your question in the simplest fashion:

LINK

I would be livid if I paid for a tile job and that was done. Like it was said before the tile was laid it should have been mitered or a schluter trim piece installed.

Good luck, I have never seen an island tiled like that before.

That was kinda my idea, too, but not wood. They have to make something like that out of a tile material or stainless.
