Is there a "good" universal garage door remote?

We moved into a house without garage remotes. I bought a set at Lowes and although they work, it seems to depend on the moon phase and the tides on what days and how well it works. You can stand in the same place and it works some days, doesn't other days. I even get out of the car in case there's a faraday cage thing going on.
Is there a better brand or more powerful signal? I'm about to put a pull string 100' long at the end of my driveway and use that to open the door...

Not exactly what you’re asking but the Meross WiFi garage door controller has been pretty good for the price. They’re on Amazon and work with Apple Home.

What brand of opener? Unless the opener is super old I would think getting a replacement factory remote for your brand of opener would be the best solution. If that isn't possible I'd replace the opener with a newer smart opener from the manufacturer of your choice.

I bought two Solidremote 371LM 373LM 971LM 973LM, for Chamberlain, LiftMaster Garage Door Opener for $16 from Amazon a couple of months ago and have no complaints.
I also bought the MyQ smart garage door opener. I really like it for the $17 I paid for it on an Amazon black friday deal. Its worth the $25 regular price.

Why not program and use the one in your car/truck? or are you using the remote in other stuff?
