When we built our home about 10 years ago, I wanted the geckos and lizards around due to the spiders webs all over on the patio and in the garage.
Lately we are so overrun with them, they constantly are getting inside the house. I catch or kill a few daily randomly inside the house.
Is there any kind of spray poison or anything to deter them?

Get rid of their food source and they will leave.

I'll bring my daughter over; she is a gecko catching machine.

If they eat bugs, that ain’t happening. We have a pasture and woods along back yard and mosquitos and bugs are very plentiful.

You could try spraying mint oil. It works to deter rodents, spiders and some other critters, but I’ve heard it can be toxic for dogs, so that’s something to consider.

If you spray poison to kill them, the spiders and other bugs will take their place. If you’re okay with that, spray away.

Cobras eat geckos.

But then you have to buy a mongoose to keep the cobras in check.

How do they get into the house? I've got skinks, colorful lizards that keep my patio free of ants. They can't get into the house.

There was a thread about this a few weeks ago.

Geckos like to perch on a lighted area outside and feast on the bugs that are attracted to the light. Get rid of the light and you’ll get rid of the geckos.

Good afternoon friend. There is a very good Wiki page on how to send those pesky geckos packing for good.

Get rid of geckos and you will have roaches. We have tons of geckos but none in house. What come in the house are more like salamanders.

My JRT sits in doorway looking for lizards & geckos and whimpers to us to open door to go outside and put her eyeballs on them & won’t move. This goes on all day. She catches them and carries them out to yard and stomps them. She walks fence line, garage, down spouts, My girl Annie!
