Planted many of these when I was in the business. Mainly in formal style gardens. Good looking shrub/tree.

We were about to plant a magnolia since the hurricane took down our big pin oak, but now seriously considering it.
I am hoping I can find a 30 gallon of whichever one we choose.

Think maintenance. The grow fast, so need constant pruning if you like things to look tidy. Also, a magnet to aphids. Stay on top of summer spraying, or they will turn black.

Don't do the magnolia , drops leaves year round . Also I'm tired of raking the red seeded hand grenades off the lawn . Pain ..

They create a great privacy wall.
I just got #5 after Ida, but I need two more. I bought the only 30g for 40 miles around New Orleans.
