Recently dropped Terminix. Looking at J&J.

Their Platinum Plan is every month service for Mosquitos, Mice and all pests for $100.00/mo.

I have had Orkin and Terminix in the past and it's been terrible. Inconsistent service. Different person every time and they don't know jack. They just paid to spray, which I can do.

Facing mosquito and earwigs at the house. Driving us nuts.

I have done outside supplemental treatments using Bifen XTS that does well, but I rather have a pest control company the wife can complain to...rather than me.

In Baton Rouge area? I’ve been using Cotton’s for 5+ years at two different houses. The same person has shown up to my house every quarter since day 1. She treats inside and out and does a great job. She’ll call when I’m due for my next service and shows up on time every time.

We went with J&J w/ no mosquito abatement. Will have to do something next year, my Bifen efforts aren’t cutting it in Carlyss.

Check out Mosquito Mitigators - local and owner is a good/knowledgeable dude.

I went with J&J and got mosquito. I'm going to see how they do. I find it pricey at $100/mo but service every month with mosquito should remedy my issues.

I have been supplementing Terminex sprays with my own Bifen XTS. Just tired of doing it. It's too strong an application for the house since its oil based. Pretty sure that crap is so strong its meant to fight Termites.

It aligns with the market based on my research. Usually it's $60-$70 to spray your house each time. Difference is I am having them come monthly, vs. quarterly.

$50 for mosquito control.

Is what it is I suppose

Yeah I’m sure your price is in line with what companies charge, definitely not arguing that. Just a lot to pay monthly when you can do it yourself pretty easily.

Have no recommendations, but if this is your complaint

Find a small locally owned guy that's been around for awhile (don't know anything about J&J). A lot of times Orkin & Terminix are the entry positions into the industry and those guys either leave because it's not for them, go work for the smaller companies, or start their own company

I had Terminix for 6 years, first 3-4 years was the same guy. He left to start his own company and I went through 3 people in 1 year (quarterly service), then they just stopped showing up. Been DIY since.

I have tried to convince my wife of this but we continue to see earwigs in the house and deal with periodic field mice in the garage.

Whatever I been doing hasn't been working. Using Bifen and Bifen XTS outside.

Convincing the wife is always the difficult part of it. Insects will find a way, nothing is 100%. Thankfully for me, she has spoken to 3 of the Terminix guys to complain about the roaches, drain flies, and fruit flies and they have convinced her that because of where we are in relation to the river; there is no avoiding the occasional insects. So now whenever we see them, I just spray the shite out of the house exterior and she leaves it alone.

I have also found these to be a quick deterrent to earwigs/silverfish... Amazon Throw a few around/under sinks and in crawl spaces in any room I see them.
