Need advice on a herbicide for killing vines and larger plants

Got vines and actually a lot of poison ivy on the edge of my property.
Have applied Roundup on it the last couple of days to see if multiple applications would take them out. Can't really tell if it's working.
Any advice? Thanks.

Use a combination of Glyphosphate(41%) and 2,4-D. Mix 2oz of each per gallon of water. Add 1 TBSP of Dawn dish liquid to the mixture, it will allow the mixture to stick to the leaves better.
Be sure to spray on a date and time where the wind is non-existant. You don't want any drift.

I've killed large oak trees by mistake spraying TVC on underbrush. That stuff kills EVERYTHING.

Almost all glyphosate comes with a surfactant, there's no need to add dish liquid.

Triclopyr
This will kill poison ivy. And it works well mixed with glyphosate. However, keep in mind that triclopyr can kill by root uptake, so you run the risk of killing trees that the poison ivy vines are on if you spray too much.

Do farm supply stores have the triclopyr or can I get it at Home Depot/Lowes?
Thanks for the replies, fellas.

I finally decided to wage war on poison ivy this year and have been successful with just RoundUp. I wanted a very targeted application and did not want any residual killing or root uptake so steered clear of the other herbicides.
At first I wasn't sure if it was working but I just needed some patience. About a week after the first application, I hit any I had missed the first time around. About one week after that, there were some new ivy sprouts trying to come up so I got those too. Now it appears to be a complete success and new plants are starting to fill in the void.

Bayer brush killer is good
TVC is good but costs a good bit more.

In BTR, most hardware stores with a good garden supply area and larger retail garden centers carry it. Certainly farm supply stores and likely TractorSupply. Don’t think a Lowe’s or Home Deopt would have it. Usually sold as stump and vine killer or brush and vine killer, under different brand names like this

but you can buy more concentrated forms like this

A few years ago, Round Up had a version for woody stem plants.
I had great results with it on poison ivy, etc.

Tractor supply carries triclopyr and glyphosate. It is in two different parts of the store. In the garden section you will find overpriced, brand name varieties. In the agricultural section, you will find the reasonably priced stuff.

I cleared a wooded area next to my house and now I have poison ivy, Virginia creeper, muscadine, sweet gum, and devil's walking stick all coming up. I've been spraying Bonide BK-32, which has triclopyr as one of the active ingredients, and it seems to get the job done.
