We have a lot of hedges and bushes to trim. Need something better than just your standard johnny q homeowner little battery powered hedgetrimmers.
With all of that said....I have DeWalt and Milwaukee power tools, chargers, and batteries. I'm fine with buying battery powered equipment as long as they will get the job done. I tend to think I probably need a 2 stroke powered hedge trimmer, BUT I'll wait for everyone recommendations and will research afterwards.

I have bamboo hedges and just switched to the stihl hl91k.
Amazing cutting power.
I just laughed first time using it because it cut so easily.
Weather you want a pole or not I would definitely recommend a stihl professional hedger.
Worth paying extra for

Could a woman maneuver the Stihl around? I do the yard, and most of the time my wife does the flower bed. I'd want something she could manage also.

I would get a 40v tool if you had to, but at the same time it's only beneficial to get battery tools if you have more than one.

Yeah it's pretty manageable.
Not as long as my previous one so not as top/end heavy.
2 stroke engine.
I would recommend going to a stihl dealer and getting one in your hands.

I have the two cycle Echo hedge trimmer that is a beast and fairly heavy.
After trying my son's Ryobi 18V trimmer, I purchased one too. The Echo gets started only to keep it from drying out.
I was surprised.

I'm sure the battery powered would serve you fine. I have a Echo PAS with a weedeater, blower, hedge trimmer, etc. and the cutting speed on it compared to anything battery is in a different league. I really don't use mine much.
It would take you more time to clean up the mess than it will to cut with a gas machine. I'd probably opt for battery even with your situation.
But I also like to say that proper sized gas equipment makes lawn work enjoyable, battery powered makes it just a chore.

I have the Stihl 91 Kombi setup for string trimming and edging. They make a hedger attachment for it but I already had a dedicated hedger (Stihl HS 45). My wife uses it without any problem. I've had it for a number of years without any problems.

Got a Stihl dealer about 5 minutes from my house. Me and the wife will head up there next week to see what they have in stock and to see if she can swing around the 2 stroke hedge trimmer. I have an affinity for gas powered cutting tools, but a battery powered device has its' uses also.

STIHL for any gas powered hedge trimmers, weed eaters, edgers, and blowers.

I have ryobi 40v tools. The hedge trimmers are great.
If you have not invested in a battery system yet, I recommend Ryobi, Kobalt, and Ego. All three are great.

Your house looks good, but you don’t have an inordinate amount of hedges to trim. I would get an EGO battery powered trimmer. I have EGO string trimmer as well as a chainsaw and have been pleased with both.

I still believe in the old Black n Decker 2-stroke. Tough and last a long time.

I'll give the Echo a look also. I have an Echo straight shaft weed eater that I've had for 20 years and it still runs as strong today as it did way back in the day when I bought it.

I have the battery Milwaukee and it works pretty well.

Always been a gas over electric guy but, considering the minimum amount of times you’ll use it, I think you’re better off with an electric one.

Just bought the Stihl HSA60 battery hedge trimmer. Seems to get the job done pretty well and we have more to trim than you ! Wanted the 100 but it was a little heavy for the wife.
