Looking at adding a pergola and outdoor kitchen to my house.
Pergola maybe 20x20
What did your outdoor kitchen cost you?

If you gotta ask you can’t afford it
ETA: ok seriously, get the lube warm at least.
I don’t know but seriously going to be a lot

12x24 addition to my detach. I’ve got 18g in mine so far. Ready for it to be finished waiting on cypress

12x15
4 burner Blaze grill and mini fridge
Travertine tile, cypress cabinets, 18x20 sink
$22K not including TV, furniture, outdoor speakers, and all the other little BS.
I’d still like more. If you do the ideal setup that size expect $30K and be happy when it only comes in at $35K.

What are your expectations for an outdoor kitchen? And what is existing?
Do you want concrete slab or pavers/stone patio? Gas grill? Smoker/BGE? Standard 1-2 side burners or full 4-5 burner range? Crawfish burner stepped down? Pizza oven? Sinks & drains? Fridge? Kegerator? Built in drawers & trash? Bar top seating? Finish & facing materials? Custom block construction or prefab components? TVs/sound/lighting?
From only seeing 20x20 pergola, I'd say go get 3 estimates and see what is included.
You could be from 30-100k depending on what you want.
Assuming this is part of a backyard renovation, you probably will want to bring in a landscape designer/contractor too.
Get a solid roof instead of a pergola and you'll double the amount you use it. Pergolas suck if it starts raining and when the sun is beating down during summer.

I was looking at a pergola with a covered roof. I talked to a contractor about extending my roof and just the roof extension would be at least 30k. No kitchen in that price. So I think the option of a covert Pergola that has a roof would be much cheaper in work the same

Getting a pool and had them quote me on an outdoor kitchen with it. For a 12x12 pergola with bar, sink, 30" gas grill, refrigerator, and stainless cabinet they wanted $20k. I'll be doing the outdoor kitchen myself.

In the process of building mine atm. Already had the deck and added a 12x12 roof with lighting. Figure I will have around $4500-5000 in mine doing the work myself. Need to build the cabinets then get granite and a gas counter top griddle. Will also run gas from my in ground propane tank.
