Is there really a difference in quality? They are about double the cost of a standard refrigerator. The area it would be going definitely never gets wet, just outdoor heat and humidity but no direct sunlight.

If an outdoor fridge is necessary, any brand recommendations?

Outdoor isn’t necessary but make sure it has plenty of room around it for airflow. Stupidly, I bought one that fit the cutout with not much to spare and it struggles. I Have a fan behind it blowing on the compressor which helps but it’s not ideal.

They are crazy expensive but I feel that’s one thing you don’t want to skimp on. It’s something that has to keep up with the crazy temps/humidity of the outdoors. Ill see if I can find an old pic of the one I went with.

** True is the brand I had I’m almost certain

I went cheap and gave it plenty of room then couldn’t stand it when it was next to my kegerator and it fit perfectly. Ended up buying the way more expensive outdoor front venting fridge that fit the under counter space and I’ve been way happier with the look.

I use an indoor model with front exhaust on my cabana. Never had any problems. It’s just a generic Hisense model from Lowes’s.

I bought the basic indoor Fridgidare from Lowes. I’ve had it 2 years and it’s done just fine. It’s not in the afternoon sun so that helps. But I’ve been 100% pleased with it for $200.

Interesting. That would fit perfect

How wide is the opening around the fridge? Mine is very tight with little airflow around the sides. But I guess if it’s a front exhaust I should be ok

Blaze has some reasonable priced outdoor refrigerators. Not as pricy as some of the other brands. BBQ Guys showrooms has them installed so you can see them if in BR.
