Pest control help!

I recently did a suspend SC treatment indoors and bifen treatment outdoors which has been really successful for the last couple years. For the last three days weve been finding about a half a dozen of these bugs a day in one bathroom out of nowhere for the first time. Does anyone know what these are? Why the suspend is ineffective all of a sudden? Or if I should concerned? TIA

That looks like a weevil. They don’t usually pop up unless they have food, check out your pantry. Once they’re loose, they can get all over the house.

Scoured the pantry and found an open bag of flour with maybe 1 in it....way more in the bathroom that's pretty far away. Now that I'm thinking about it awhile ago had a bag of rice infested with them, but that was months ago
As of now they have all been found in the master bathroom far from the pantry. Pantry had none except one in a bag of flour

suspend should knock em out though

That weevil probably never touched the insecticide barrier. It hitched a ride on your pants leg or was in a bag of flour and you bought it. They are moving around for water more than likely.

Maybe....but what's confusing the crap out of me is I feel like there should be SOME in the pantry.... they have all been in the home bathroom. Wondering if that's thier path in and they trying to make it to my kitchen??

Have you tried spraying permethrin? Just curious as to why suspend SC indoors?

Buy and use Cyper WSP. It's a 40% cypermethrin as a soluable powder. Just remember to shake well, before use. After spraying the water evaporates leaving the fine powdery particles behind that kill up to 3 months indoors and 1 month outdoors.
It's the generic version of Demon WP. Buy the 1 lb pail. It contains 48 individual packets. Mix 1 pack with 1 gallon of water. The 1 lb pail is enough to mix up 48 gallons of spray. Totally safe to use around the home.
The Suspend SC is a 4.75% Deltamethrin, not as strong as the 40% Cypermethrin.

Thanks for those tips, I've just always used suspend SC indoors and bifen xts outdoors based on random advice.

Your welcome. The Bifen XTS is a very good product for outside the home. I would recommend mixing 1 TBSP of the Bifen XTS and 1 oz of mineral oil together per 1 gallon of water when spraying outside. The oil makes it more potent. While the water evaporates quickly the oil does not. Means a longer killing residual. You don't need an oil with Cyper WSP because as a powder form it remains behind when the water evaporates. Get the Cyper WSP and use it inside the home, and the Bifen XTS outside.
Unless you are a licensed applicator, don't advertise the fact you are spraying Bifen XTS. Just tell folks you are spraying Bifen I/T. The XTS is 25% strength bifenthrin making it a restricted use pesticide. The I/T is 7.9% bifenthrin strength meaning it's a DIY product. The XTS is 3 times stronger.

Suspend SC is the safest, longest lasting insecticide for indoor use. The spray dries as a micro-crystal that kills insects (and arachnids) when they cross. It can last up to a year inside, considering you don’t use cleaners where you sprayed. It’s what virtually all pest control companies use. It dries quickly and does not stain. It is sprayed as a barrier, along walls, window sills, cabinets, etc., wherever insects will travel.

well mystery has been solved!!! There was an open bag of bird seed that was beyond infested sitting in the garage... on a wall that backs up to said master bath....the suspend was doing all it could as there was a graveyard of weevils, but the source has been taken out!! Thanks for the help

They were probably getting in from the vent in your bathroom. Glad you got it figured out.
