Planting lantana in a container?

I have three small lantana plants I purchased this weekend. What size container would be best to plant this in? I have a few 10" 12' and 20" containers. Could I plant single plants in the smaller containers? All three in the larger? Thanks in advance.

What type of lantanna? They can get pretty big, 3' tall x 5' spread.

Not much info online for that variety. Does the tag tell you how big they get?

No I got it from a small local nursery.

I found a site that says they get 20" tall so I would guess 2 1/2 to 3' wide. So I would plant 1 in the 20" and 1 in each 12".

I have planted extra "basic yellow Home Depot" versions in 18" square containers and they lived and bloomed but didn't flourish. The ones I planted in the ground at the same time exploded and looked gorgeous. So IME they will live but if you have even a back corner somewhere you can get them in the ground I think you will be happier.

Good to know. I have a home depot one in a pot. Maybe I will put it in the ground now.
