putting a swing between two trees

Has anyone done this and if so, what would be the best way to go about doing so? We have a few trees and one pair is about wide enough to comfortably put a small swing between, with potential for a swinging bench that can seat two people

A few 6" lag bolts with eyes oughta do it. Pre-drill a few inches with a 1/4" drill bit, then use a screwdriver to tighten them in.

I updated to include that we would eventually want a bench so this would probably not do us any good

More lag bolts and hope the trees grow at the same rate.

This right here is the only way I would hang a tree swing. Leave your slack at the bottom so you can easily make length adjustments for growth. But, if the top board eventually gets too out of level it won’t swing right so you will have to move one side.

I would cement two 4x6’s then put one across the top. Cut the ends at a 45 to match them up.
