Looking to install over garage on an upstairs window on the outside window frame, make of hardie board. Drill pilot holes and use the included screws (#6, 1 1/8 length), or use the included anchors (recommended for mounting into brick)? Or buy my own hardware at Lowe’s?
If pilot holes/screw (without anchor) works, what size pilot hole for hardie board? Total weight of camera can’t be more than a pound or two, and there are four screws for the mounting bracket.

The 4 screws included will be sufficient for that light of weight

I used tapcon screws when I mounted in brick.

Those are hard to beat. Also what I use in brick.
